Facebook ads: As part of our ad placement, we use a Facebook pixel (Enhanced-Correspondence), which tracks personal information about our customers, including name, location, e-mail address and phone number. This pixel also tracks our customers’ browsing behavior on our online store. Browser-based ad blockers can prevent the pixel from tracking data.

FACEBOOK PIXEL

As part of our online offering, we use “Facebook pixels” from the Facebook social network, operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you reside in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). Thanks to the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to determine visitors to our offer as a target group for the display of advertisements, so-called “Facebook ads”. Consequently, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads we have placed only to Facebook users who have shown interest in our website. This means that with the help of the Facebook pixel, we want to make sure that our Facebook ads match users’ potential interest and don’t appear obtrusive. The Facebook pixel also enables us to track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by checking whether users were directed to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad.

The Facebook pixel is embedded directly by Facebook when you access our web pages and may store a cookie, i.e. a small file, on your device. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook once logged in, the visit to our offer is noted in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous and gives us no information about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook in such a way that a connection to the respective user profile is possible. Facebook processes data in accordance with Facebook’s data usage guidelines. For further information on how the remarketing pixel works and on the presentation of Facebook ads in general, please refer to Facebook’s data usage policy: https:// www.facebook.com/policy.php.

You can refuse Facebook’s pixel collection and the use of your information to display Facebook ads. To do so, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions on usage-based advertising settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads or explain the objection on the US page http:// www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the European page http://

www.youronlinechoices.com/. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they apply to all devices, such as desktops or mobile devices.
